Studying in Chester?

If you are a university student that will be living in Chester for the majority of the year you should register with a local GP as soon as your situation allows. This is of significant importance if you require repeat medication for many long-term conditions.

In order to register as a temporary resident at one of the practices within the Chester South PCN please download and fill out a form here.

Once you have filled out the form and signed it, please email a copy to cheshireccg.cspcn@nhs.net.

We will then be in touch shortly after to finish the process of your registration.

Can I still visit my GP back home?

Yes, you can still use your home-based GP when you are back for the holidays and term-breaks.

 

What do I do when the GP is closed?

When the practice is closed and you require urgent medical assistance which cannot wait until it re-opens, please call 111. Ambulance and A&E should only be used in the case of emergencies only.

 

Do I need the vaccination for Covid-19?

It is recommended that you are up to date with your COVID vaccinations. You can speak to your GP about this.

 

What about other vaccinations?

It is recommended that you are up to date with all other vaccinations. You can speak to your GP about this.
